Joann Martin

JoAnn Martin graduated from California State University, Dominguez Hills, where she received her BA degree, with a major in psychology and minor in anthropology, in 1974. JoAnn Martin graduated from California State University, Dominguez Hills, where she received her BA degree, with a major in psychology and minor in anthropology, in 1974. With these degrees, she earned a Life Teaching Credential for Social Studies in 1977. She attended UCLA to receive a minor in mathematics in 1982. JoAnn went on to earn a master's degree in behavioral science with a focus in marriage, family and child counseling in 1983. JoAnn's education and experience also includes certification in Dahn Yoga healing arts in 2003 and certification in Subconscious Alignment as part of Kinesiology training in 2011. JoAnn applied her talents to an esteemed teaching career, spanning from 1975 through 2002. She began teaching sixth grade in a Lutheran parochial school where she taught all subjects including Bible studies. In 1978, as part of her personal growth, JoAnn went through Insight Training Seminars where she attributes first expanding her views about life and healing potentials. After Insight Training, JoAnn began teaching in the Los Angeles Unified School District, where she taught mathematics in Jr. High through 1990. From 1991 through 2002, JoAnn taught at-risk high school students in independent study, mathematics, biology, earth science, health, psychology, and a parenting class for her students who had children.
