Jim Whalen

Whalen grew up in the Bronx, NY and graduated from the State University of New York Maritime College there. After sailing as a Third Mate aboard merchant ships, he spent 32 years as a Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Retired in a suburb of Washington, D.C., he spends his time with his four grandchildren and consulting, writing, and enjoying the ocean at his summer house in Bethany Beach, Delaware.
