Jim Elledge is the director of the M.A. in Professional Writing Program at Kennesaw State University and the author of 24 books. Gay Writers Celebrate Their Mentors and Forerunners , which he co-edited with David Groff, won a Lambda Literary Award in the category of LGBT Anthology (Non-fiction) and his book-length poem, A History of My Tattoo , won the Lambda Literary Foundation's award for gay male poetry as well as the Georgia Author of the Year Award in Poetry in 2007 and was a finalist for the Thom Gunn Award for gay men's poetry. Through his research on The Boys of Fairy Town and his work on projects in queer studies, he has developed into an expert on queer life and culture in Chicago up to the mid-1940s. See less
