Coach Jim Cutler, known as "Mr. Baseball" to his community, was a lifetime teacher and coach in Bedford, Virginia. Coaching baseball from 1960 to 2006, he earned 513 victories. Career highlights include a Virginia State Baseball Championship (AA) in 1977 and coaching in the U.S. Olympic Festival in Houston in 1986. A life-long athlete himself, Coach Cutler ran four marathons in one year, participated in several triathlons, and at 82 maintains a golf handicap of 8.
