Jay J. Ague is the Henry Barnard Davis Memorial Professor of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Yale University, and the Curator-in-Charge of Mineralogy and Meteoritics at the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History. He studies fluid flow, chemical reactions, mass transfer, and heat transfer in Earth's lithosphere, focusing on the metamorphic and igneous rocks comprising the deep roots of mountain belts.
