Janet Reeves, the author of this book, she used to provide instruction to elementary grade students many years ago. She enjoys working with children and enabling their reading abilities. Her desire to enhance reading skills for special needs and other elementary students is genuine. She believes that acting out stories as well as reading them is important. As an instructor she and her students did this activity. It was amazing to her how both acting and reading helped many young readers to better understand stories. Her writing in this particular book supports both reading and acting out stories. She believes that this story and its pages can be used to enhance both reading and imaginations. Many children just need a little nudge in order to act out stories of their own for their own special audiences. Using her book, The Acorn Treasure, is a stepping stone for such fun events. Janet believes that children can easily act out the characters, add their own characters, and even stretch their imagination by adding to the story. This children's story is a building block for young readers to enhance their reading skills and it is a tool for readers to use as they create and act out stories of their own. As a new author, she is engaged in several kinds and levels of reading materials for children. As an elementary student she wrote short mystery stories for family and friends to enjoy. She looks forward to providing many books to young audiences, to include a mystery series for children. A series supported by writing and reading mystery books as a very young person. She encourages everyone to enjoy her book and books to come. See less
