Jane Campion
Born in Wellington, New Zealand, the director and screenwriter Jane Campion's film The Piano earned her international acclaim, several Academy Award nominations, including the Award for best original screenplay, and the 1993 Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. Her other films include: Sweetie, Angel at my Table and Potrait of a Lady. Holy Smoke was her first novel, which she wrote in collaboration with her sister Anna Campion. She lives in Sydney.
