James Watrous

James Watrous (1908-1999) was the Oskar Hagen Professor of Art History at the University of Wisconsin --Madison. As an artist he was known especially for his murals and mosaics, and he was the driving force in founding the Elvehjem Museum of Art at the University of Wisconsin--Madison. He is the author of The Craft of Old-Master Drawings , also published by the University of Wisconsin Press.
