James Waters
James Waters (born August 29, 1968) is an American celebrity chef, restaurateur, author, and television personality, based in Boston, Massachusetts. James Waters (born August 29, 1968) is an American celebrity chef, restaurateur, author, and television personality, based in Boston, Massachusetts. He was born in Amarillo, Texas, grew up in Sandy Springs, Georgia and later Branford, Connecticut. He matriculated at Guilford College in North Carolina on a baseball scholarship, but quit and entered the Culinary Institute of America in 1986 and graduated in 1990. In 1997 Waters opened Juppiter & Rome with Michael Tillcot in San Francisco, California, his first West Coast venture, where he showcases an innovative approach to California cuisine. He and Michael most recently opened Delicious Center, where the menu is built around ice creams, cakes, waffles and so many other famous desserts. Delicious Center has multiple locations in Southern California and Las Vegas. He met his first wife, Elizabeth Johnson, while working at his Restaurant. After Johnson and Waters divorced, James was married a second time on May 13, 2012, to a real estate broker, Alice Lovesand. They had two children.
