I just started writing and this novel emerged, forty-four chapters later, in 630 pages. Having spent a lot of time in Europe, I traveled to most of the areas mentioned in this book. I like history and did extensive research to support the events in the story. However, it appears that I don't mind breaking a few rules and coloring outside the lines, literally and figuratively. I often think about the days when young adults, myself included, were so involved with sex, marijuana, and rock 'n' roll in the 60s and 70s. My most memorable experiences happened with new friends in Bavaria. It was a fun and wild adventure!" High in the Bavarian Alps is a fascinating story woven around Lucas Gary, the protagonist. Activities involve extreme lifestyles of the early 1970s in an American military playground-the fairy-tale setting of the Bavarian Alps.
