Jacques Dupin
Jacques Dupin (1927-2012) was a leading French poet and art critic, and a formidable authority on the work of Miro and Giacometti. He published his first poems and texts on contemporary artists in 1949 in the reviews Cahiers d'art and Botteghe Oscure. He edited L'Ephemere, one of France's most important literary journals, and was director of Editions de la Galerie Maeght in Paris from 1955 to 1981. He was awarded the Grand Prix National de la Poesie in 1988.
