J. D. Wyss (1743 to 1818) was an army chaplain with four sons. He wrote "The Swiss Family Robinson" to entertain them while teaching them important life lessons. The first English edition was translated by William Godwin in 1814 and has been a classic ever since. J. P. Linder is a writer and filmmaker. If you went to college with her, she won't remember you unless you were physically inside of the bowl of pot she was smoking.
