J Rawson Lumby

Joseph Rawson Lumby was an English priest, scholar, author, and divine who was appointed Norrisian Professor of Divinity in 1879 and Lady Margaret's Professor of Divinity in 1892. He was the son of John Lumby of Stanningley, near Leeds, and was born on July 18, 1831. On August 2, 1841, he was admitted to Leeds Grammar School.
