As a result of this visit, he returned in 1911 to begin an eight-year ministry at New York's famed Fifth Avenue Presybterian Church. Returning to England in 1918, Jowett assumed the pastorate of Westminster Chapel in London, occupying that pulpit until his death. In addition to his pulpit work, he also authored more than a dozen books, almost all of them on devotional or soul-winning themes so dear to his evangelical heart. See less
