J G Nichols
J.G. Nichols was born in Liverpool and lives on the Wirral. His previous volume of poetry is The Flighty Horse. He has translated poetry by Gozzano (for which he won the John Florio Prize), Leopardi, and Petrarch (for which he was awarded the Monselice Prize). His recent translations include several classic prose works, mainly from Italian. He is currently working on a verse translation of The Divine Comedy.
