Dr. Igor Matveev, the Chief Editor of this book, is a world recognized leader in Plasma Assisted Combustion, having over 1,200 plasma systems developed under his supervision in operation worldwide. In 1996 he was awarded the title "Citizen of the Year" in his native city Nikolaev.
