Ian Hugh Smith

In a forty-plus year career in wooden boatbuilding and boatbuilding education, Ian Hugh Smith has built upwards of eighty boats and taught hundreds of people the skills they need to build their own boats. Now retired from commercial work Ian is concentrating on putting his experience down on paper, but still finds time to build a 24' Ranger class gaffer and race his Historical 18-footer replica Britannia on Sydney Harbour.
