Ian Gould

Ian Gould was a talented young sportsman who was on Arsenal FC's books before concentrating on cricket. He played 18 times for England, captained Sussex and represented Middlesex, whom he also coached before turning to umpiring in 2002. Within four years he was on the ICC's elite panel. In a 13-year career at the top, his relationships with some of the biggest names in cricket quickly established him as one of the world's most highly respected umpires.
