Like many Canadian artists Hiro Kanagawa has forged a career wearing many hats: actor, playwright, screenwriter, and teacher. His plays range from the war-crimes drama Tiger of Malaya to the Puccini sequel Tom Pinkerton: The Ballad of Butterfly's Son .
