Herbert Kriloff

Herbert Kriloff was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1915. He won an appointment to the United States Naval Academy in a competitive exam, entered in 1935 and graduated in 1939 with a Bachelor o Science Degree. He was then commissioned as an Ensign, US Navy. Kriloff was the commanding officer of the USS Scroggins for one and a half years during World War II and the USS Massey for two years during the Korean War. He is currently retired and living in Melbourne, Australia.
