He had an eye for talent and publicity methods, which included arresting advertisements and dust jackets. He also produced Wireless, a monthly publication circulated among his readers. Jenkins, best known for his light fiction, also wrote a biography of George Borrow and of poet William Blake. His most popular fictional creation was Mr. Joseph Bindle. He died in London at the age of 47 after a six-month-long illness. See less
