Mike Hayden is a retired Air Force general and former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency and the National Security Agency. He is currently a principal at the Chertoff Group and a Distinguished Visiting Professor at George Mason University. He is the author of the upcoming Playing to the Edge: American Intelligence in the Age of Terror , a memoir of his time on the national intelligence scene.
