Harrison Cady

Harrison Cady was best known for the Peter Rabbit comic strip, which he wrote and drew for 28 years. At age 19 he was hired as an illustrator for the Brooklyn Eagle newspaper, then after about four years became the staff artist and cartoonist for Life Magazine in New York. He had a long working partnership with Thornton Burgess, which lasted about 50 years, illustrating his daily newspaper column and books with all of the animal characters, as found in The Adventures of Peter Cottontail.
