He has co-edited, edited, or authored ten books, three of which are Franklin D. Roosevelt's Rhetorical Presidency (Greenwood, 1988), Classical Communication for the Contemporary Communicator, and Harry S. Truman's Presidential Rhetoric (Greenwood, 1993).
