H F Garten

H.F. Garten (1904 - 75) was born in Brno in the Czech Republic, and came to Britain in 1938, where he spent many years teaching in various schools and universities. A much-respected scholar of German drama, Garten's works include studies of Georg Kaiser and Gerhart Hauptmann. Wagner the Dramatist was his last work.
