Greg Guest received an MA in anthropology from the University of Calgary and a PhD in anthropology from the University of Georgia. Over the past 15 years, he has carried out research in academia (Duke University, East Carolina University, the University of Georgia), the private sector (Sapient Corporation), government (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), and in the nonprofit sector (FHI 360). Guest has implemented and managed multidisciplinary projects in various fields of applied research, including human ecology, agricultural development, human-computer interaction, consumer experience, and international health. Greg is currently a social-behavioral scientist at FHI 360, where he manages multisite, qualitative, and mixed methods research projects related to reproductive health, HIV prevention, and other infectious diseases. Guest's other books include two edited volumes-"Globalization, Health and the Environment: An Integrated Perspective "(AltaMira, 2005) and "Handbook for Team-Based Qualitative Research" (AltaMira, 2008)-as well as the co-authored book, "Applied Thematic Analysis" (Sage, 2012). He's published articles in journals such as "Field Methods, American Journal of Public Health, JAIDS, AIDS Care, AIDS Education and Prevention, African Journal of AIDS Research, AIDS and Behavior, Journal of Family Planning and Reproductive Health Care, Human Ecology, "and "Culture and Agriculture".
