Graham D. Rowles is a Professor in the Department of Gerantology and a Director of the Graduate Center for Gerontology at the University of Kentucky, where he holds joint appointments in Nursing, Behavioral Science, Geography, and Health Behavior. Honored with several teaching awards and research fellowships, his extensive research in environmental gerontology focuses on the lived experience of aging in a wide variety of contexts and regularly appears in professional journals and his other published textbooks. He is a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America and the Association for Gerontology in Higher Education, and serves on the editorial boards of The Journal of Applied Gerontology and the Journal of Housing for the Elderly. Dr. Rowles is President-Elect of the Association for Gerontology in Higher Education. He earned his BA and MSc from the University of Bristol in England, a PhD from Clark University, and completed post doctoral studies through the Lilly Endowment Fellowship. See less
