GRACE BAKER LARSON was born in Hot Springs, Montana in 1940. Her delivery was by a midwife. She grew up on a large sheep ranch that her grandparents owned. Her parents had divorced when she was eight months old. Grace describes herself as a jack of all trades and a master of none. She raised three sons and two daughters. Her parents had divorced when she was eight months old. Grace describes herself as a jack of all trades and a master of none. She raised three sons and two daughters. Her daughter, Robin, died from MS when she was forty-one years old. Grace's husband passed away in December of 2013. Her life was controlled by circumstance until she and Lyle married. He was always there for her after that. Grace has trained and shod horses, skidded logs, operated a day care center, cleaned houses, and spent fourteen years as a chemical dependency counselor. She was a journeyman painter for fourteen years. High work, spray painting, sandblasting, etc., for herself, contractors, and the Anaconda Company. She was the first woman to work in the trades in Anaconda Company. See less
