Review of Religion by Gordon Planedin Religion by author Gordon Planedin is an engaging and enlightening book which questions the purpose of having too many religions when the concept of one God is enough for a peaceful and united existence. The book is an eye opener as it explores the various religions and the beliefs that people practice. Planedin's analysis of each religion is informative and helps readers understand that all we need is a single religion worshipping the same God. His explanation on the chaos and confusion of having different Gods is on point and concise. This book is really timely as religion is often the reason why people and countries are in conflict. Islam and Christianity are the two prominent religions, and they basically revere the same God, yet these two religions are always at odds with each other. The conflict between these two religions is a great example why Planedin's suggestion of one religious order with the same God is practical and necessary. Planedin's vision is perfect as the idea of one religion and one God eliminates the practice of various beliefs paving the way for a harmonious existence. Religion is highly recommended, and a must read. The book is brief but gets the point across without being too preachy. See less
