Gordana Jovanovic Dolecek received a BS degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo, an MSc degree from University of Belgrade, and a PhD degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo. Gordana Jovanovic Dolecek received a BS degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo, an MSc degree from University of Belgrade, and a PhD degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo. She was professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo until 1993, and 1993-1995 she was with the Institute Mihailo Pupin, Belgrade. In 1995 she joined Institute INAOE, Department for Electronics, Puebla, Mexico, where she works as a full professor. During 2001-2002 and 2006 she was with Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, University of California, Santa Barbara, as visiting researcher. on a sabbatical leave. She was also with San Diego State University as visiting researcher on a sabbatical leave in 2008-2009 and with University of California, UCLA, LA, USA in 2015-2016. She is the author of three books, editor of one book, and author/coauthor of 70 journal papers and more than 300 conferences papers. She was the Associate Editor for IEEE TCAS: II and actually she is the Associate Editor for IEEE TCAS: I and IET Signal Processing. In 2012 she received Science and Technology Puebla State award for her research work in electronics. Her research interests include digital signal processing and digital communications.
