Gideon Rose
Gideon Rose is the Editor of Foreign Affairs. Before serving as Managing Editor of the magazine, he was Associate Director for Near East and South Asian Affairs on the staff of the National Security Council and Deputy Director of National Security Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations. After studying classics at Yale, he received a Ph.D. in government from Harvard; he has taught American foreign policy at Princeton and Columbia.
