Gerre Hancock is Organist and Master of the Choristers at Saint Thomas Church in New York City. He holds degrees from the University of Texas (B.Mus.) and Union Theological Seminary (M.Sac.Mus.) and has studied with E. William Doty, Robert Baker, Jean Langlais, and Marie-Claire Alain. In addition to his duties at Saint Thomas Dr. Hancock teaches at Juilliard, at the Yale Institute of Sacred Music, and at the Eastman School. In 1981 he was appointed a Fellow of the Royal School of Church Music and was awarded the Doctor of Music from Nashotah House in 1986.
