Biography Gerald Hall was born in 1960 in Charlotte, North Carolina. After graduating from North Carolina State University, he enlisted in the US Army and served in a variety of units before deploying to Saudi Arabia in support of Operation Desert Storm. Since then, he joined first the National Guard and then the Air Force Reserves. Gerald had deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan before retiring from the Air Force Reserves. His military and technical background has given him a uniquely well-informed perspective on the military, technological developments and their impact on world events. Gerald is a lifelong science fiction fan and has had over a dozen articles published previously in various small gaming magazines on the BattleTech game. 'Unwanted Gifts' is the first in a series of near-term science fiction novels that feature a family whose special gifts transform the world and people around them through the generations. Gerald is also a United Methodist minister's spouse. Christian themes run throughout 'Unwanted Gifts', its first sequel 'Hidden Gifts' and their sequels to come.
