Georges Renaud
Georges Renaud (1893-1975) was a French chess master, theoretician and organizer. He won the first French Chess Championship at Paris 1923. He represented France in first unofficial Chess Olympiad at Paris 1924, and in the first Chess Olympiad at London 1927. He was co-author, with Victor Kahn, of one of the great chess books on tactics ever written, The Art of Checkmate.
