George Wallace

Wallace retired to the civilian business world in 1995, after twenty-two years of service on nuclear submarines. Wallace commanded the USS Houston SSN 713 from 1990 to 1992. It was during this tour of duty that he invented the swimmer lock-out procedure used by the SEALs and worked extensively with the SEAL community developing SEAL/submarine tactics. Under Wallace's command, the Houston was awarded the CIA Meritorious Unit Citation.
