George Sheehan

Dr. George Sheehan was a respected cardiologist, accomplished runner, bestselling author, and lecturer. As medical editor of Runner's World and a member of the Presidential Council for Physical Fitness, Sheehan traveled the world to teach the benefits of the athletic life. He passed away in 1993 at the age of 74, after a seven-year battle with prostate cancer.
