George Pica was a journalist for 30 years, several of them on the faculty of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. He received numerous awards and professional honors during a career that included stopovers in Galesburg, Ill.; Eugene, Ore.; and Seattle, Wash., and speaking engagements and consultancies in locations as diverse as New York City and Singapore.
