George Papadeas
In 1937, Fr. George Papadeas was a charter member of the newly formed Greek Orthodox Theological Seminary in Pomfret Center, Connecticut. He served as assistant priest of the Archdiocesan Cathedral in New York City for eight years and was then assigned to organize the first Greek Orthodox Parish in Long Island. Papadeas would go on to organize more parishes in America, as well as in Greece. Now at 90 years young, he continues his passion for his service to the Lord as the founding Pastor of the Greek Orthodox Mission in Ocala, Florida.
