George Margoliouth
The scholar George Margoliouth studied the subject, particularly in the work of Mois�s de Le�n, the Spanish kabbalist to whom the writing of the Zohar is attributed. The result of his research is this short essay, the translation of which we offer today. A son of Polish parents, George Margoliouth was a scholar of Semitic languages, orientalist and writer at the British Museum, where he was in charge of Hebrew, Syriac and Ethiopian manuscripts for more than twenty years.
