George Frederick Kunz
George Frederick Kunz (1856-1932) was a prominent American gemologist, responsible for many advances in the gem and mineral world including identifying a new color of spodumene that was named kunzite in his honor. He heavily influenced New York jeweler Charles Lewis Tiffany to produce his first semi-precious green tourmaline line of jewellery for his company, Tiffany & Co.
