George Breitman (1916 - 1986) was one of the leaders of the US Trotskyists: branch organizer, editor of the weekly Militant , member of the Socialist Workers Party's National Committee, acclaimed analyst of the ideas of Malcolm X, and editor of a multivolume collection of Leon Trostsky's writings. For many years he was the consulting editor for Humanity Books' Revolutionary Studies series. Alan Wald is H. Chandler Davis Collegiate Professor Emeritus at the University of Michigan.
