Dr. George Andreopoulos

George Andreopoulos received his Ph.D. and LL.B. degrees from Cambridge University. He has written extensively on international security, international human rights and international humanitarian law issues. Among his publications are (ed.) George Andreopoulos received his Ph.D. and LL.B. degrees from Cambridge University. He has written extensively on international security, international human rights and international humanitarian law issues. Among his publications are (ed.) "Genocide: Conceptual and Historical Dimensions, The Laws of War: Constraints on Warfare in the Western World, The Aftermath of Defeat: Societies, Armed Forces and the Challenge of Recovery, The Use and Abuse of anti Americanism in Greece, Human Rights Education for the Twenty-First Century", and most recently (Ed.) "Concepts and Strategies in International Human Rights". He is the Founding Director of the Center for International Human Rights at John Jay College. He serves on the Editorial Board of Human Rights Review and during 2003-2004 served as President of the Human Rights Section of APSA. See less
