Geoffrey Molloy is a world citizen, born in Singapore to a Malay mother and an Irish father, educated in Cyprus and the UK, he now lives in on his farm in Cantabria (Northern Spain) with his Estonian/German wife, Rhea and three of his five children. One daughter and granddaughters live in Scotland, another in Barcelona. Leaving home at sixteen he first trained and later worked as a Navigating Officer after which spent much of his life working in the Middle East and Asia in the field of satellite communications and later in communications consultancy. Meeting Rhea his wife changed all, when in 1989 madly in love, he followed her to Spain and just a few years later stopped smoking. 1995 marked the start of an eleven year collaboration with Allen Carr until Allen's death in 2006. In his group and individual sessions Geoffrey has guided many thousands of people to freedom not only from nicotine addiction but also from addiction to alcohol and other drugs. Although much of his work is with private individuals he also has worked with more than 500 corporations in the fields of stopping smoking and improving wellbeing. He has also worked with the CEOE (Confederation of Spanish Industry) to help develop a guide to the design and implementation of policies and practices for drugs and alcohol in the workplace. Apart from his work in the field of addiction Geoffrey is also known for his work in the field of anxiety and stress management using mindfulness/meditation based techniques.
