Genny Lim
Genny Lim is San Francisco Jazz Poet Laureate emeritus, born and raised in San Francisco to immigrant parents from the Kwantung region of Toisan, an oral culture rich in folklore, poetry and storytelling. Lim's award-winning play, Paper Angels, was the first Asian American play that aired on PBS's American Playhouse in 1985 and has been produced throughout the U.S., Canada and China, garnering the James Wong Howe, Villager, San Francisco and Seattle Fringe Festival Awards.
