For Berman's oral history of the Beatlemania era, "We're Going To See The Beatles!" he interviewed over 40 people from across the country who were teenage fans swept up in the hysteria during the Beatles' historic Amerian tours in the mid-1960s. He has also completed the first biography of legendary comedian Ed Wynn. Berman has been writing humorous pieces, comedy sketches, and screenplays for most of his life. "Old Wave" is his first novel.
