Gaku Homma founded Nippon Kan Cultural Center, whose new 10,000 sq.ft. facility in Denver houses the largest traditional Aikido dojo in the Rocky Mountain region. He is the author of Aikido For Life , The Folk Art of Japanese Country Cooking , Children and the Martial Arts: An Aikido Point of View , and Aikido Sketch Diary: Dojo 365 Days . He trained under Morihei Ueshiba, the founder of Aikido, as well as other high-ranking instructors.
