Géraldine Elschner began to write her own books after translating many children's books. She is the author of several books in the First Steps in Art series, including Hide-and-Seek with Little Hippo , which earned a School Library Journal starred review, and has about 50 titles published worldwide in about 20 languages. Trained as a librarian specializing in children's literature, Elschner lives in Heidelberg, Germany.
