Francois Place
Born in 1957 in Ezanville, France, Francois Place published his first illustrations for children's books in 1983. The award-winning Last Giants (Godine, 1992) confirmed his talents as a writer and illustrator, and A Voyage of Discovery (2001) won the Grand Prize at the Bologna Children's Book Fair. His most recent book with Godine is the acclaimed Old Man Mad About Drawing (2004).
