Francisco B. de Carvalho is an avid snorkeler, free diver, and scuba diver. Stationed in Hawaii for many years with the U.S. Army, he logged hundreds of hours diving along the coastlines of many of the Hawaiian Islands. He returns regularly to the Islands to continue his underwater education.
