Francis Deng is a Director of the UN Vision Project on Global Public Policy Networks and Senior Fellow for Foreign Policy Studies at the Brookings Institution. Dr Deng has served as the Sudan's ambassador to Canada, the Scandanavian countries, and the United States and, from 1976 to 1980, was Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Sudan.
